I won an animal, now what?

One of the team members will reach out to you with the phone number on file. Animal(s) will generally be located in our barn located in Mountain Home, Tx or in the pasture awaiting capture. You will have the option of choosing to have animal(s) delivered with a 7-day warranty to your ranch or to pick up your animal from our Mountain Home location.

How does delivery work?

After auction closing, payment and a scheduled date for delivery a skilled WLP team member or one of our two trusted contract drivers will transport your animal(s) from one of our locations to your ranch @ $4 a loaded mile within 300 miles from 254 Paradigm Ranch Road West in Mountain Home, TX. Delivery fee will be added to your invoice. Once the animal is delivered to your facility, the included 7-day warranty will start. 

How do I pick up my animal(s)?

**DO NOT SHOW UP WITHOUT CONTACTING PRIOR**. To schedule pickup please call (830) 358-8669. Once pickup is scheduled. Bring an appropriate game trailer to our barn. If you are concerned about your trailer being adequate for animal pickup. Please call barn manager Braden Uecker at (830) 890-8707.

Pickup hours: Monday-Friday 7AM – 5PM. Closed for lunch 12PM – 1PM. After hours and weekends BY APPOINTMENT ONLY (830) 358-8669.

How does the 7-day Warranty work?

WildLife Partners offers a 1-week (7 calendar days) guarantee on all animals from delivery. We refuse to use anything other than safe, ethical methods for capturing and we are willing to warranty the health of any animal that we sell. This warranty helps eliminate risks to our buyers during the high-stress levels that can be associated with capture and transport.

This warranty is valid for animals delivered by WildLife Partners, LLC facilities to destinations within 300 miles, for $4.00 per loaded mile. Buyers requesting delivery from a non-WildLife Partners location will sign a Waiver of Liability. This waiver will remain in effect indefinitely. Warranty will not be provided for any animal that has been resold to a third party. If the animal is found dead for any reason other than fighting, predators, or it was intentionally killed, you will receive a credit towards other purchases. If an undisclosed injury is noticed when we deliver, WLP, at our discretion, will either keep the animal or extend the warranty to two weeks.

**Any consignor of animals through ExoticAuction will be required to offer the same warranty.**

IMPORTANT: Buyer needs to be in communication with their sales representative within the 7-days. It is also best practice to stay in touch and communicate with us if you notice any unusual behavior. Animal health and wellness is a priority. Wildlife Partners has full-time veterinarians on staff and will gladly help with education and care questions.

Are auction animals the only animals available?

Absolutely not, Wildlife Partners is home to over 5000 hoof stock exotics across 4 facilities in Texas. Please contact us at (210) 888-4388 for more information.

Can I list my own animals on the auction app?

Yes, we offer consignments from our Mountain Home barn with a small consignment fee of 10% of the closing price per listing.

Note – a 7-day warranty from the consignor will be required to sell animals on the auction app. Please contact Nick at (920) 382-3530 for more information on approval for animals.

What other services do you offer?

Wildlife Ranch Solutions – WRS is a unique, full service, management support company for breeders of exotic wildlife. WRS provides turn-key ranch services that include developing business plans, infrastructure design, and implementation. I need to buy more animals than what’s listed, who do I talk to?

We have a wonderful outside team of salesmen that can help you with buying or selling animals other than what’s listed on the site as well as a cost-free ranch visit. Call (210) 888-4388 to be assigned to a salesman.

I need to sell animals off my ranch, but I don’t have a way to capture them. What do I do?

Wildlife Partners works with ranch owners daily who have offspring or stock to sell and move off their ranch. If you’re interested in selling animals and organizing a possible catch job, please call our office at (210) 888-4388.

How do stall fees work?

After an auction animal lot is won. The customer must contact and arrange deliver within 24hrs. If any animal must be stalled more than 48 due to transportation issues. Auctioneer reserves the right to charge stall fees of $25 per day and/or terminate sale of animal(s).

How do consignors get paid?

Consignors are paid 7-days after the animal is delivered at the end of the warranty. Payment will either be mailed by check or ACH using a voided check with deposit account for direct deposit. A voided checks can be texted to (830) 358-8669 or emailed to auction@wildlifepartners.com

What do the numbers mean in front of the animal description?

The odd numbering system you see “0.1.1.1 Scimitar Oryx” determines the sex and whether the animal is an offspring or not.

The first number (0._.) means the number of males, the second number (_.1) means the number of females. The third number (_._.1) it means the number of male sex offspring an additional decimal point after would be the female offspring (_._._ .1)

0.1.1 would mean, zero adult males, one adult female, one young male and one young female. Most of the time when an animal is listed as offspring within the listing it is not old enough to be weaned.

How do I know the age of the animal?

A yearling sold through ExoticAuction can be a range from 10 months old to 1 and ½ years old. Mature refers to anything over 2yrs old. Exact ages are not always known but will generally be added to the description if known. If you have questions on age on an animal listed, feel free to give us a call.

What does exposed mean vs bred?

An exposed animal is female that has been exposed to a bull and possibly bred. Although to the eye one could say “definitely bred” for liability reasons an animal will not be listed as bred unless a pregnancy test is done and confirmed positive.

What are the tax implications of owning exotics?

Animals purchased for the purpose of breeding vs a hobby are considered assets and may be depreciated using section 179 and 168k of the IRS code (Depreciation and Bonus/Accelerated Depreciation. Can I buy animals through ExoticAuction if I live out of state?

If you’re thinking about purchasing animals and your ranch is located out of state, please call us prior to bidding. Species, transportation costs and state requirements are all important when considering shipping animals out of state.
